    2. Change Management. Global competition resulted in forever changing the way each industry did business. Every company from the big corporate to the small enterprise found challenges and opportunities coming their way. Companies had to undergo individual (employee level), team (department level) and organization wide (process and systems) transformation to be able to adapt and change to make the most of these opportunities. This evolved into a systematic approach now studied as change management.
    3. Forces for Change. The forces of change that began transforming the businesses were knowledge economy, e-commerce, mergers & acquisitions, privatizations, digital convergence, and virtual organizations to name a few.
    4. Rate of Success in Change Efforts. The chart shows that the nature of change management is always unpredictable and requires long-term assessment. This is because there are two sides of change which must be taken into consideration. The technical side of change and the human side of change.
    5. Principles of Change. Change management essentially results in success or failure for organizations. However there are certain key principles to be followed for change, to ensure that the change activities undertaken result in success that leads your organization’s transformation. This section lists the 10 Principles of Change.
    6. Five Activities Contributing to Effective Change Management. Change management is not a one-time activity, instead it is the continuous set of activities that must be developed, managed and sustained as culture that keep the organizations and its people moving internally all the time. This section brings you the 5 activities that contribute to effective change management. They are; Motivating Change, Creating a Vision of Change, Developing Political Support, Managing the Transition, and Sustaining Momentum.
    7. Activity One - Motivating Change is Explained. This is the first activity and the most essential one. This activity involves getting everyone in the organization to first understand the need for change, be open to change, to understand the gaps in where we are and where we want to be and convey credible positive expectations for the change.
    8. Activity Two - Creating Vision of Change is Explained. This activity involves laying down the foundation for constructing the envisioned future through plans that lead to the desired future state from the current state. Having plans is not enough; the values must be instilled in people who will use those values to guide themselves in execute those plans and seeing them to completion.
    9. Activity Three - Developing Political Support is Explained. This activity is very critical in change management as it is when employees and the stakeholders take ownership of change, the transition will be truly achievable. This activity details out the how political support in an organization works, how it must be developed, how people in each role of change sponsor, change agents, change target contribute to the transformation, and how to influence the key stakeholders.
    10. Activity Four - Managing the Transition is Explained. This activity describes the transition state accomplished by the appointment of a Change management team (with each role explained) and the change activity planning. It also lists the critical skills change agents must possess.
    11. Activity Five - Sustaining Momentum is Explained. This activity outlines what must be done to sustain the momentum of change management practices from time to time.
    12. Elements of Change Enablement. As mentioned earlier in this slide deck, change has two sides that must be integrated to enable the actual transformation or change process within the company. This section discusses the elements within these two sides of; organizational transition and people transition. It explains these as best practices of change enablement. They are; change architecture, communication, performance management under organization transition.
