    PPT Covers:
    1. Habit 1 Of Highly Effective People Stephen Covey PPT
    2. Habit 1 - Be Proactive. Habit 1 belongs to the first triangle of Private Victory of the Maturity continuum model of 7 Habits of highly effective people. Habit 1 can be studied in 6 parts as given below.
    3. Part I - Paradigms Revisited. This section revisits the concept of paradigms which are essentially about knowing that we are constantly looking at the world through our own filters or our own lenses. For personal change one must therefore question these assumptions and re-examine them so that they can be adjusted where and when necessary.
    4. Part II - Take Responsibility. Habit 1 is to be considered as the foundational habit as it is the very key to implementing the other 6 habits. The principle that guides (or underlying) Habit 1 is ‘Take Responsibility of our ways of thinking about the world, the ways we look at things in it, our paradigms, our attitudes, our behaviors, our reactions to people and situations and all that forms our responses each day. Seeing it this way, we can take responsibility because we can ‘choose’ our responses.
    5. Part III - Proactive Vs. Reactive. This section brings you a very critical distinction between proactive people and reactive people. Learn about his important distinction between pro-activeness and re-activeness and how to transform re-activeness to pro-activeness (values).
    6. Part IV - The Freedom To Choose. This is one of the most important sections of Habit 1. It explains in details what freedom means and where the freedom to choose actually comes from. Make no mistakes, this is no wishful thinking or feel good self-help stuff. What is being explained in this section is the way things are and the only useful way to change them so that you find freedom. Learn about the relationship between actions (that you can control) and consequences (that you cannot control as they are governed by natural laws and principles). Learn where the power change our response eventually lies. Learn how proactive people respond.
    7. Part V - The 4 Human Endowments. This section begins with determinism and explains the three theories of determinism. It further contrasts determinism with the freedom to choose. In the freedom to choose there are the 4 human endowments of Self-Awareness, Imagination, Conscience, and Independent Will. These endowments are to be sued to bring the changes we want in our human life.
    8. Part VI - The Circle Of Influence. This section introduces the concept of circle of influence and the circle of concern. Through this visual concept a very important point is made in how proactive people respond to life and where they spend their time, efforts and energy as against where reactive people spend their time, efforts and energy.
