The slide opens with pointing out that ever since 1990, since PowerPoint came along, we have been using the most meaningless way to communicate ideas through PowerPoint presentations by using boring bullet points and design instead of simple, legible and engaging presentations.

Here the Project Manager needs to craft his story around the goals and how they relate to each other and why they are being discussed today. When you create a story they have to be coherent (challenges faced), credible (based on research and facts), and emotional (who did what, in what way, at what personal cost and how it solved the challenge).
