- 7 Principles of Effective Training PPT
- The Principle of The Learning Specialist - As a learning specialist (or trainer) what you must know about the program, lesson, subject, skill, or truth to be taught and the rules that apply to it.
- The Principle of The Learner - What a learner expects and how those expectations must be managed keeping in mind their interests, attention and on-going situation that develops in the actual training session.
- The Principle of The Language - Goes into discussing the assumptions and precautions that you as a trainer must take into consideration w.r.t. the medium of language, signs, symbols and communication that is being used during the program.
- The Principle of The Lesson - Describes the ideas to consider and the one thing above others that must be specifically considered in the planning of your training lesson.
- The Principle of The Teaching Process - Discusses about key ideas that you as a trainer must keep in mind during the training delivery, the actual teaching instruction process. What must your primary focus be?
- The Principle of The Learning Process - What is the ultimate goal of learning that your program will accomplish? This is the reason your training program exists. Keep this in mind and your training becomes purposeful as your learners can connect every activity and exercise to the workplace skill or it's real world application in the given environment.
- The Principle of Review and Application - This is perhaps the most important but understated of all principles of effective training. This covers the idea that all learning is transferable and should therefore be reviewed for it's usefulness. Many a great training program and trainers are destined to fail when they overlook this principle right at the beginning of the preparation stage. Yes that's where it is to be planned as it gains prominence towards the end of the training cycle. This principle highlights how the responsibility of learning must eventually pass from the trainer to the learner applying it in their workplace.
