    1. Winning With Leadership PPT
    2. The Difference Between ‘Management’ and ‘Leadership’. Managers maintain the status quo, they plan and monitor situation, they allocate the resources, they communicate targets to the team and top management, they measure the results against planned performance, collect feedback on the trends. Leaders are strategic thinkers, they always look forward, they create a vision, they challenge themselves and people to grow, they motivate people, they inspire people to pursue goals. Marcus Buckingham quotes that “a leader’s job is to tally people towards a better future.”
    3. Why is leadership so important? This question is answered by several supporting quotes by Jonas Ridderstrale & Kjel Nordstrom (funky business), Ken Blanchard, Marcus Buckingham, and statistics from Mercer Consulting.
    4. Seven Ideas To Create the Culture You Want. A leader faces challenges of how to get people ‘on board’? In what ways can a leader maximize people performance? There are seven ideas presented in this section. Each idea is explained sufficiently with quotes, examples and statistics.
    5. Idea One - Get That ‘Vision Thing’. This section discusses ‘idea one’ which is about what a leader needs to do when it comes going about creating a vision, turning it into meaningful goals and targets and managing people while they help achieve that vision. It also states what a Vision is not and what a vision really is. It goes a step further and looks back at the Vision from employees’ point of view.
    6. Idea Two - Value Your Values. This section discusses ‘idea two’ which is about the concept of values and why a leader must focus on building values. The importance of values plays out in this section as values define the fundamental character of a business organization, they give identity to it and it helps the leader to build a culture through the values that are defined, demonstrated and practiced.
    7. Idea Three - Get ‘Engaged’. This section discusses ‘idea three’ which details the benefits of an engaged workforce. This section publishes some alarming statistics about employee engagement. The data published here is supported with research from Gallup organization.
    8. Idea Four - Give Your People A Damn Good Listening Ear. This section discusses ‘idea four’ that states the importance of listening to your people and creating systems that allow for their feedback to and thoughts to reach you.
    9. Idea Five - Be An ‘Enemy Of The Status Quo’. This section discusses ‘idea five’ which is about innovation and inspiring your people to challenge existing systems and processes and disrupt them so that new innovation can take place. Innovation will bring in change and better ways to do things and help the organization to grow under your leadership.
    10. Idea Six - Create Other Leaders, Not Followers. This section discusses ‘idea six’ which expresses an important concept of winning with leadership. It is - good leaders create other leaders and not followers. This point is brought out through a Performance Matrix. The performance grid shows unused potential on the X axis and productivity on the Y axis. It shows the various performance combinations (unused potential and productivity) that result into 4 categories – Star performer, Peak performer, problem performer, and mismatch.
    11. Idea Seven - Take Action, Not Notes. This section discusses ‘idea seven’ which states the most important but often overlooked aspect of leadership which is taking the first step with a leap of faith. It is highlighted by a quote from Martin Luther King. Discover and learn more inside the Winning With Leadership PPT.
